Product Description:

Terlipressin is the drug of choice noted in NICE Guideline 1.5.1 Management of variceal bleeding

Treatment with GLYPRESSIN (terlipressin) can be initiated by the ER physician as it does not immediately require the presence of a medical specialist or sophisticated equipment.

Uses:

GLYPRESSIN (terlipressin) is indicated for the treatment of bleeding oesophageal varices and in some countries for the treatment of hepato-renal syndrome type 1.

Usual dose:

2mg IV bolus injection every four hours.

Box of Ampoules x 5 (1 mg)
