Product Description:

PICOPREP (sodium picosulphate, magnesium oxide, citric acid) is low volume and pleasant tasting, and not associated with the severe abdominal discomfort attributed to some laxatives.

High in patient acceptability, and therefore with high adherence to regimen.

Uses:

PICOPREP (sodium picosulphate, magnesium oxide, citric acid) is indicated to clean the bowel prior to X-ray examination or endoscopy, or to clean the bowel prior to surgery when judged clinically necessary.

PICOPREP (sodium picosulphate, magnesium oxide, citric acid)  has approved dosing for children as of 1 year old, and adults.

Usual dose, adult:

1 sachet evening before procedure, followed by 1 sachet taken late at night or early morning.

Children 1-5 years:

¼ sachet taken twice daily on day before procedure

Children 6 to 12 years:

½ sachet taken twice daily on day before procedure.

Split dose, child or adult:

one dose taken evening or night before and second dose 5 hours before procedure.
