DDAVP MELT (desmopressin) is a peptide-based synthetic analogue of human antidiuretic  hormone, vasopressin.

DDAVP MELT (desmopressin) mimics the action of vasopressin on the kidneys to increase the reabsorption of water thereby reducing the volume of urine produced while the person sleeps.

Uses:

DDAVP MELT (desmopressin) is indicated for the treatment of bedwetting in children, and nocturia in adults. Both conditions are usually caused by an overproduction of urine at night, and DDAVP MELT (desmopressin) acts on the kidneys to reduce this.

Bedwetting can be traumatic for children, affecting their well-being and self-esteem. For adults with nocturia, waking up several times a night to urinate can lead to sleep deprivation affecting a patient’s quality of life.

DDAVP MELT (desmopressin) is effective for 8 to 12 hours and fluid restriction should be observed over this period

Uses:

DDAVP INJECTION (desmopressin)  is indicated for the treatment of pituitary malfunction due to traumatic brain injury, Diabetes Insipidus and some cases of Haemophilia and Von Willebrand Disease.

DDAVP INJECTION (desmopressin) is fast acting and has a prolonged duration of action.
